Tard venu la peinture, je recherche avant tout les couleurs franches et vives, la simplicité dans la composition mais il arrive que tout change au fur et à mesure que mon pinceau prend le relai et le résultat final est rarement ce à quoi je m’attendais. C’est la raison pour laquelle peindre est pour moi un défi et une leçon d’humilité. Chacun peint comme il peut. C’est l’action de peindre en elle-même qui vous apporte ce sentiment de liberté, de plénitude et de bonheur suprême.
As a latecomer to painting, I strive for strong, bright colours, simplicity in composition but sometimes things may gradually change as my brush takes over while painting, and the end result is seldom what I originally expected. That is why painting, is for me, both a challenge and a lesson in humility. Everyone paints in their own way. It is the very act of painting that brings you that feeling of freedom, fulfillment and bliss.
